Each year in Bondi Australia, there is an exhibition of sculptures, which because of their proximity to the ocean, is called Sculptures By the Sea. Here is a selection of photos that I took of some of the bizarre sculptures presented.
These sketches are of wild beasts.
Even though some a darn cute.
These are sketches of humans and their animal companions….not horses as these were covered by a previous post.
Sometime over the last 18 months I got interested in horses and the people who ride or control them. So I sketched. I don’t claim them to be of any worth, I just like sharing what I have done. Enjoy.
Here is the second installment of bird pictures.
Over the last 18 months, while I have been offline, I have not been idle. I have been writing poetry and sketching. The birds that I have included here were mainly done with watercolour pencils or lead pencils. I did not have access to anything else.
I will split the bird pictures into 2 posts with 10 pictures in each. I hope I don’t overwhelm you. Other categories for sketches you will see come up include Man and Beast, Wild Animals, Flowers, Portraits, and Planes, Trains and Automobiles.
I hope you enjoy.
Had enough energy to do this today. Oil pastel on black paper
After not picking up a pencil in 12 months I thought I would go to the art gallery, armed only with a 2b pencil and my sketchbook to see what i could do with tones etc. Note that i did not take a sharpener or eraser with me. These two pictures are the result.
Also done in the Indian Motorcycle showroom.
