This photo is merely cropped to show the main arch

This photo has an orange filter and has the details sharpened. I like the effect on the shadows.IMG_1259 (5)

This is the feature above the arch, with a Cian filter.

This simply has a monochrome filter put on it.

  1. Hi Dave – Ah I like your 4 options within one post. All are very effective.
It’s a beautiful old building with lovely architecture – the monochrome edits show up the details very well.

Will you join us again? I do hope so 🙂
If you do, the basic guidelines are these:
This challenge is about processing 1 image in 4 different ways over 4 weeks.
We will all process / post edit (our own chosen image) and share a different version each week.
..and you’ll find the rest of the info at the bottom of my One Four Challenge posts.

Hi Dave you didnt say what image editing software you use – LR5 has a great feature for architechtural images like this that adjust for the perspective distortion when you shoot with std lenses (most of us cant afford TS of course)

it would counteract that leaning back effect, the only problem is it can quite tightly crop the image and lose detail.

I like the woman framed so nicely in the archway, helps show the scale really well 🙂

    Welcome to the challenge!
